Sean Welch and Jeffrey Blitz are the great minds behind the magic of “Spellbound”.  The two producers from California worked together to form a film documenting the lives of 8 ambitious spellers preparing to compete and hopefully win the National Spelling Bee in 1999.  Both Mr. Welch and Mr. Blitz have been extremely supportive of the spellers featured in the film and also planned to start a scholarship fund in support of the financial need while spellers go on to Institutes of  Higher Education.
