How can I contribute to Ashley’s support?

How much of my contribution goes to Ashley?

100% of your contribution goes directly to Ashley’s support. When you mail your check to volunteer, Barbara Motter, she will record your contribution and acknowledge your tax deductible    contribution.  We then forward your check to the Edward C. Mazique Center, where your contribution will be assigned to Ashley’s account.

How does Ashley access her account at The Mazique Center and how are these funds used?

Each month Ashley requests funding for her living expenses from The Mazique Center’s case worker.   Ashley lives on a very limited budget which is monitored monthly.  Ashley works 16 to 20 hours a week in addition to her full time studies at Howard.  During the summer months she works full time.

How old is Ashley now, and how old is Ashley’s daughter, Dashayla?

Ashley will be twenty-two years old, and Dashayla will be four years old in August 2007.

What college does Ashley attend and what is her major?

Ashley currently attends Howard University in Washington, DC. Her major is Communications with a specific concentration on Television Production.

What does Ashley plan to do upon graduation in May 2008?

Ashley hopes to continue her education and earn a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling.
